Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters and Chesapeake Bay Academy will be hosting an information-packed symposium in February. Keynote speaker Dr. Ted Hallowell is a world-renowned ADHD expert, author and researcher at Harvard College & Tulane School of Medicine. He will be discussing current findings and therapeutic strategies regarding management of ADHD in children and adults. Several breakout sessions during the morning will discuss in-depth issues in ADHD treatment and management as well as provide time for discussion and questions. This symposium is open to parents/caregivers, educators, clinicians and adults.

Commonwealth Autism 16th Annual Conference

The conference features a fantastic lineup of speakers that will be discussing a variety of topics including early intervention, community participation, behavioral supports and transition to adulthood.
Commonwealth Autism is a BACB-approved provider of type-2 continuing education hours for Behavior Analysts. Multiple sessions at the conference will provide CDEs for BCBA and BCaBA certificants.
Commonwealth Augism offers scholarships for individuals with autism and families/caregivers to attend the conference.

Highly Motivated Virginians Encouraged to Apply
Individuals who want to develop or strengthen their advocacy and leadership skills are encouraged to apply. Partners are chosen through a competitive application process administered statewide. If accepted, attendance is required in seven traning sessions to be held September 2017-April 2018. There are no costs to participate in the program.
Who is Eligible to Apply?
People with developmental disabilities (DD) and/or parents of young children with DD are eligible to apply.
